Czechoslovakia
Strichtarn ("Line Camouflage") was a military camouflage pattern developed in East Germany and used from 1965 to 1990 The pattern very closely resembles the Czechoslovak Rain Pattern, which itself borrowed from Wehrmacht-era patterns. Strichtarn was adopted as the vz. 60 "Jehličí" (needles) by Czechoslovakian forces; the Czechoslovak version differs by having a two-tone background. The reason behind that is fascinating . The advent of night vision technology challenged traditional camouflage, turning many uniforms glaringly visible under infrared optics. To combat this, the Czech military started experimenting with infrared reflective dyes to create special patterns only visible in infrared light. By daylight, The Czech M60 parkas blend in with their unique rain pattern—but under night vision, a new pattern emerges, similar to the Polish leopard print, featuring an intricate comb teeth design, previously hidden in plain sight.
Experience the ultimate in dual camouflage technology. During the day, blend in seamlessly with a unique rain pattern. But when the sun sets, a hidden intricate comb teeth design is revealed under night vision. With the Czechoslovakian M60 Field jacket, you'll always stay one step ahead.
