MTP stands for Multi-Terrain Pattern. It could also stand for Multi-TopRank Pattern ! This is the latest and greatest in Western European Armed Forces. Many countries are switching to this pattern because of it's ability to serve its purpose in , you guessed it, multiple terrains.These particular ones are the current issue British Army uniform replacing Soldier 95 kit. Designed for operations in Afghanistan and first used by personnel deployed on Operation Herrick in 2010. In 2011 MTP was issued more widely to the forces replacing all DPM including Woodland and Desert Combat Soldier 95 uniforms.
